About the role

You will work in small pods on client systems that matter to their business, owning features from shaping through to production and the on-call that follows.

We expect engineers to have opinions about architecture and to write them down. Decision records are part of the job, not an afterthought.

What you'll be doing

  • Build and ship features across the front end and service layer
  • Contribute to architecture decisions and record the reasoning
  • Write automated tests alongside features, not after them
  • Maintain CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code
  • Review code with substance rather than as a formality
  • Participate in client demos and technical discussions directly

What we need you to have

  • Strong TypeScript and React, with production Next.js experience
  • Solid back-end skills in at least one of Node.js, .NET or Java
  • Practical cloud experience on AWS or Azure
  • Test automation as a habit rather than a requirement
  • Experience working directly with non-technical stakeholders

Useful, not essential

  • Kubernetes, Terraform and platform engineering experience
  • Legacy modernisation or strangler-fig migration work
  • Performance engineering and Core Web Vitals optimisation
  • Accessibility engineering to WCAG standards
