Senior technology talent, vetted before you see a CV

IT staffing & staff augmentation services

Staff augmentation, contract, contract-to-hire and permanent placement for technology roles — with technical screening done by engineers, not by keyword matching.

Hiring manager conducting a technical interview with a candidate in a meeting room

The economics of volume staffing agencies push them towards throughput. Send twelve CVs, let the client do the filtering, bill whoever sticks. You absorb the cost of that model in interview hours and in the occasional hire who cannot do the job.

We work the other way and we can, because we are small. Every candidate is technically screened by an engineer who has done the role before they reach you. We send a short list, typically three people, and we tell you which one we would pick and why. If none of them fit, we say so rather than padding the shortlist.

What we measure

These are the measures we baseline at the start and report on throughout — not results claimed in advance.

Submittal-to-interview ratio
How many candidates you interview per candidate we send. A high ratio means our screening is doing its job and protecting your time.
Time to shortlist
Working days from an agreed role brief to a qualified shortlist in your inbox — tracked per role and reported honestly, including the misses.
Retention at 6 and 12 months
The metric that actually reflects placement quality, and the one volume agencies rarely publish.
Time to productive contribution
Days from start date to first independently shipped piece of work, which is what the hire was for.

Our approach

How an engagement runs

Five phases, each with deliverables you can point at. No phase ends on a status report alone.

  1. 01

    Role brief & calibration

A working session to establish what the role genuinely requires versus what the job description inherited, and what the market rate actually is.

    Deliverables

    • Calibrated role brief separating must-haves from nice-to-haves
    • Market rate benchmark for the role and location
    • Agreed assessment criteria and scorecard
    • Realistic timeline commitment, including where it is tight
  2. 02

    Source & screen

Targeted sourcing through our network and active channels, then a first screen for fit, motivation and availability.

    Deliverables

    • Longlist built against the calibrated brief
    • Screening notes covering motivation and availability
    • Salary expectation and notice period confirmed early
    • Early market feedback if the brief is unrealistic
  3. 03

    Technical assessment

An engineer who has done the role runs a structured technical conversation. This is the step volume agencies skip, and it is the one that protects your interview time.

    Deliverables

    • Structured technical interview against the scorecard
    • Written assessment with specific evidence, not adjectives
    • Practical exercise where the role warrants one
    • A clear recommend or do-not-recommend call
  4. 04

    Shortlist & selection

A short, genuinely qualified shortlist with our recommendation and our reservations, followed by interview coordination and structured debriefs.

    Deliverables

    • Shortlist of around three candidates with written assessments
    • Our recommendation and the reasoning behind it
    • Interview scheduling and candidate preparation
    • Structured debrief capture and comparison
  5. 05

    Onboard & retain

Offer management, then structured check-ins through the first ninety days — because a placement that leaves in month four was not a successful placement.

    Deliverables

    • Offer negotiation and acceptance management
    • Pre-start onboarding and access coordination
    • Check-ins at 30, 60 and 90 days with both sides
    • Replacement cover if a placement does not work out

FAQ

Questions we get asked

How is this different from a volume staffing agency?

Volume agencies optimise for submittals because that is how their economics work. We send around three candidates per role, each screened by an engineer who has done the job, with a written assessment and a recommendation. If we cannot find the right person, we tell you that instead of sending near-misses.

What if a placement does not work out?

Permanent placements carry a replacement guarantee period agreed in the contract. Contract placements can be ended at an agreed notice and we cover the replacement. We would rather absorb that cost than have you carry a bad fit.

Can you provide onshore US resources as well as India-based?

Yes. We operate from both Delaware and Hyderabad and staff onshore, offshore and hybrid teams. Which is right depends on the role — anything needing constant business-stakeholder contact usually wants onshore presence; focused engineering work often does not.

How quickly can you fill a role?

For common stacks, a shortlist in around one to two weeks from a calibrated brief. Niche platform roles take longer and we will say so at briefing rather than promising a date we will miss. The calibration session exists partly to surface when a brief is not fillable at the stated rate.

Do you mark up rates without telling us?

No. We work on transparent margin — you see the pay rate and our margin on it. Opaque markup is how staffing gets its reputation, and being open about it is easier than defending it later.

Let's talk about what you're trying to build.

A short conversation is usually enough to tell whether we're the right fit. If we're not, we'll say so and point you somewhere better.
