About the role

You will own solution design on Salesforce engagements — object model, security model, automation approach and migration strategy — and stay with it through build and go-live rather than handing a document to someone else.

We are declarative-first by conviction, so you will spend real effort arguing for configuration over Apex and documenting the cases where custom code genuinely wins.

What you'll be doing

  • Run discovery workshops and translate process into solution design
  • Design object models, sharing rules and field-level security
  • Configure Sales Cloud, Service Cloud and Experience Cloud
  • Own data migration strategy including deduplication and reconciliation
  • Guide developers on where Apex and LWC are and are not appropriate
  • Support release readiness across Salesforce seasonal updates

What we need you to have

  • End-to-end Salesforce implementation experience, not just administration
  • Strong declarative configuration skills including Flow
  • Data migration experience with real reconciliation discipline
  • Ability to run a workshop with business stakeholders
  • Judgement about when customisation is worth its ongoing cost

Useful, not essential

  • Salesforce Administrator, Platform App Builder or Consultant certifications
  • Apex and Lightning Web Component development
  • Experience in regulated environments with audit requirements
  • Integration experience with ERP or billing platforms
